G. Hubert McGarity came to Alcoa Maryville as Lead Pastor in June 2005. He has served his denomination in Tennessee and Alabama in several different capacities by serving on numerous denominational boards and the Ministerial Internship Program of which he helped train over five hundred ministers and their spouses. Our Pastor is known for his compassion for people. He is driven with a passion for reaching the unchurched and seeks to lead the membership to experience the same passion. To Pastor McGarity, his family is very important, and he seeks to carry that same value over into an emphasis on the church ministering and focusing on the family. He and his wife Vickie share their love of the church and his ministry. Pastor has two children, Kristen who is married to Michelle, and they have two sons, Coley and Cason. Kristen serves as a Youth Pastor in Dillion, South Carolina. Beth Ann is married to Kevin Mills who presently serves as Youth Pastor in Alabama. Beth Ann is a school counselor.

Grant Redmond is the Music Minister at AMCOG, leading the Praise & Worship team. He is a native to nearby Loudon County, TN, yet has attended church for several years in Blount County. He is a 21 year old Senior at Lee University in Cleveland, TN, studying Discipleship Ministry. Grant brings with him experience from a sister church as Youth Band member and eventually band leader, as well as participation in numerous mission trips to Panama, Dominican Republic, Peru, and Haiti. He has also visited Israel to learn of the culture. He has a strong Christian heritage: raised in church since birth by his parents and instructed in piano lessons by his grandparents in hope of utilizing his gift in church one day. Grant resides at the Lee dormitory when school is in session; otherwise he lives in Lenoir City, TN with his parents and two younger brothers. Since coming aboard, Grant is being used to take the AMCOG congregation to new levels in praise & worship, ushering in the presence of the Lord. He is planning on being married in June 2012.

Kathy Hunt has worked as secretary at Alcoa Maryville Church of God since July of 2009. Before coming to AMCOG she was a math and Algebra teacher in Blount County Schools for thirty years having retired in May of 2009. In addition, Kathy works for her church in music, a passion of hers, and with the senior ministry. She has lived in Blount County her entire life. Kathy has one son, Andy McCorkle, who is married to a wonderful woman, Leah. Her son is an ordained minister. She loves her duties at AMCOG and loves the Lord and her relationship with Him. The congregation is very pleased to have Kathy join the AMCOG staff, assisting with day-to-day administration of the church.
