We invite you to join us on June 6th to see the play Walking Across Egypt at Cumberland County Playhouse. Our plans are to meet at the church at 8:00 on Saturday morning to head to Crossville to see the play. Afterwards, we will stop on the way home for a late lunch/early dinner. Cost for tickets to the play is $33.00 per person, due by May 17th (cost of meal is NOT included in the price of the ticket). We hope to see you there!

Brief introduction of play: In this heartwarming southern comedy, Mattie Rigsbee discovers a stray dog on her back porch, but decides she’s too old to keep a pet and calls the dogcatcher. Little does she know that the dogcatcher will open her eyes to a whole world she never knew existed, a world that includes car theft, prison breaks and a juvenile delinquent named Wesley who is as desperate for a family as she is. Armed with only her mouthwatering corn bread and a deep abiding faith in the Almighty, Mattie is determined to woo Wesley to the side of God and good Southern manners … if she can just manage to stay out of jail herself.
