Manna Community Outreach
More than a Pantry- A Pathway to Hope
Here at Manna Community Outreach (MCO), we’ve been partnering with our community for lasting change for more than 22 years—beginning with our Manna Community Pantry. What started as a small pantry in a closet has grown into one of the largest food ministries in Blount County. Today, MCO has expanded into six programs that serve families in practical, meaningful ways: Manna Community Outreach Pantry, God’s Closet, Celebrate Recovery, AMCOG Homeschool Co-op, AM Kids Parent's Day Out, and Buy a Tree Change a Life. Together, these ministries help us meet needs, strengthen families, and share the love of Christ both locally and around the world.
Manna Community Outreach

The Manna Food Pantry exists to serve those in need of food in Blount County. For over 20 years, Manna's ministry has continued to provide food for people.  Food donations to Manna supply grocery carts full of food to an average of 600 families each month.  The food pantry is open each Monday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Proof of Blount County residence is required to receive food. Please bring a valid photo ID. Every family can return monthly as often as needed for food.

Volunteer Opportunities are available.

God’s Closet is a ministry dedicated to meeting the practical needs of our community by providing clothing for individuals and families. Whether someone is facing financial hardship or simply needs a little extra support, this ministry offers a place to receive help with dignity and love. God’s Closet is open on Mondays from 10 AM to 1 PM—offering hope, comfort, and care, one outfit at a time.

Hope, Healing, and Freedom

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12-step recovery program for anyone dealing with hurt, pain, or addiction of any kind. It’s a safe, supportive place where you can find real community, experience God’s grace, and discover freedom from the issues that have been weighing you down. Whether you’re just beginning your journey or continuing your healing, you are welcome here.

Monday Night Schedule
6 PM – Meal
7 PM – Worship & Large Group
8 PM – Open Share Groups

Come as you are. Hope and healing begin here.

This journey began in the fall of 2020, right in the heart of a challenging season. What started with just a small group of about 12 students and volunteers meeting once a week quickly grew into a place where young minds were nurtured spiritually and academically, friendships were formed, and encouragement was shared. As we continue to glorify God through our ministry to homeschool families, we look forward to welcoming new faces. We currently offer classes for students in kindergarten through eighth grade and invite you to grow with us.

Encouraging Young Minds in a Christ-Centered Environment

Our Parents’ Day Out program provides a safe, nurturing, Christ-centered environment where children learn, play, and grow. While parents enjoy a few hours of free time, little ones experience hands-on activities, stories, and loving care from trained leaders.

This Christmas, you can make a difference with every tree you buy. Buy a Tree, Change a Life supports children and families both locally and around the world, with all proceeds going directly to missions. Tree sales begin on Black Friday and continue until every tree is sold.

Pick a tree. Change a life. Spread the love of Christ this Christmas.
